How's your dream?

Questions are such gifts, aren't they? When asked in a way that tickles new neuronal paths in our brains, they offer an opportunity to tap creative energy, devise new ways of seeing (and doing), and foster personal growth and development.

When was the last time someone offered you an invitation to explore something meaningful to you? And, if so, did that person stick around to listen—really listen—to what you discovered? Ralph Waldo Emerson used to ask people he hadn't seen in a while, "What has become clear to you since we last met?" How would we answer that question if it was asked today? How would we answer if it were asked by Emerson himself?

"Nothing shapes our lives so much as the questions we ask."

Sam Keen

Now imagine your life being accompanied by someone who does just that, someone who asks meaningful questions that help you clarify and formulate the goals and plans you have deemed important to you. Imagine that same person listening to your ideas, refining them and giving them back to you, and finally, supporting you as you embark on your adventure to your goals.

That's what a coach does. That's what I'll do for you when you become my client.

So how is your dream? How is your dream of life?

Are you ready?

Build it and he will come

In Field of Dreams, Kevin Costner's character builds a baseball diamond in the middle of his Iowa cornfield. He hears "voices" that tell him to do this. He listens to these voices, his inner desires, not knowing fully what to expect.

When the field is finished, the ghosts of the infamous Chicago Black Sox of the 1919 World Series show up, including that of his own father.

Amazing things happen when we create the structures through which our desires can find expression. The coach is charged with this most important task, creating the "field" on which a client can play out his or her dreams.

How is your dream?

"When you come to the edge of all the light you have and you must take a step into the darkness of the unknown, believe one of two things will happen to you: either there will be something solid for you to stand on or you will learn how to fly."
