How we work together

"...anything that has real and lasting value is always a gift from within. You don't need to leave your room. Remain sitting at your table and listen. Do not even listen. Simply wait, be quiet, still and solitary. The world will freely offer itself to you to be unmasked, it has no choice, it will roll in ecstasy at your feet." --Franz Kafka

Here is an outline of my 8-step coaching process. The goal of the process is a simple one: to support you as you create results around what matters to you.

The process is not a linear one, but one that continually loops around until resolution is reached.

  1. Before we begin, we create the space in which our encounters take place. My job as coach is to hold the context around whatever you decide matters to you.
  2. I question you—draw you out—as we discover what matters to you, what areas of your life need attention, or what untapped potential of yours lies waiting for expression. Each question is a gift I offer to you as a guide for your thinking.
  3. I listen. You are listened to. Heard. Your responses are taken in and given the respect they deserve.
  4. I offer feedback. I give you back what you tell me so that you can examine it with more perspective. You hear in your own voice-perhaps for the first time-what you want, and what you believe is possible in moving toward it.
  5. We formulate. We take the raw stuff of desire and craft some bold statements about it as we reframe, focus, envision, and clarify. We declare successful outcomes. You choose, then decide upon, which results you want to create in your life.
  6. We examine potential obstacles that may get in the way, and note them.
  7. We organize the whole process by naming the actionable pieces and deciding on what's next—where and when you'll do the tasks.
  8. I support you as you embark on your journey toward your goals.

"You talk. I listen. We dance. You ignite."
